2008 Summer Student Showcase
"Dance Through the Decades"

If you would like to participate in this year's Summer Showcase, please read the following:


SIGN-UP DEADLINE: Thursday, July 10. Friday dancers ONLY - your deadline is July 18 (due to missing classes on July 4).
ENROLL: Students MUST be enrolled in Summer Session Part 2 with excellent attendance. (Enrollment in the full session is recommended.) In addtion, students must also register for the rehearsal week ($10 per class).
ATTENDANCE: Students who miss two or more classes may not participate.
Showcase Details

 LOCATION: Davis Art Center - 1919 F St. Davis
REHEARSAL WEEK: Mon. Aug. 18 - Fri. Aug. 22 held at the theater. For days & times, see below.
DRESS REHEARSAL: Saturday, August 23, 12:30-3:30 pm (Come in costume, with hair & Make-up done.)
SHOW: Saturday, August 23 - 6:30 pm (Call time 5:30 pm)

Intro to Ballet: 3:15-4:15
Level 1 Ballet: 4:15-5:30
Level 1 & 2 Teen+ Jazz: 5:45-7:30
Level 3 & 4 Teen+ Jazz: 7:30-9:00

Tuesday, August 19
Dance Exploration: 3:15-4:15
Intro to Hip Hop: 4:15-5:15
Hip Hop ages 7-12: 5:30-6:45

TICKET INFORMATION

2008 Summer Showcase Admission Prices:
Adults (18-54): $4
Adults (55+): $2
Children (17 and under): free
Each family will receive two Complimentary Tickets.

Tickets will go on sale Aug. 1 and will be available for purchase from Yvette or the Davis Art Center.

Flash photos and videography of the dress rehearsal and shows are not allowed. You can take non-flash photos if you want.

ART DAYS

I am scheduling two optional Art Days on Saturday August 2 at the Woodland Community Center and on Saturday August 9 at the Davis Art Center. Times TBA.
At the art days dancers and parents (if they want) can make decoration and do art projects for the performance. We will also do any costume making, question answering, and final arranging that is needed. These Art Days are optional attendance; I will do an RSVP sheet for each Art Day and will hold the Art Day if a minimum of 8 students will be attending.
