About Our Instructors

Yvette Corvo Misner -

Owner / Teacher / Choreographer

Yvette Corvo Misner is a graduate of the University of Cailfornia, Irvine, receiving a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Dance. She has been dancing non-stop since her first Tap class in 1983 and became a full-time teacher and choreographer in 1996.  Yvette's training includes Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Modern, Bellydance, Hip-Hop, and Musical Theater with a smidgen of African, Ballet Folkloric, and Ballroom.  Over the years, she has had the pleasure of working with students ranging from age 2.5 through 70+, at all levels of ability.  She has choreographed musicals for students of Woodland High School, Douglas Junior High School, Woodland Community College and Pioneer High School.  In addition, a couple of her favorite choreography projects include working with the Woodland High School Showchoir for three years and working with the children of the Yolo Stage Company since 2003.  Yvette is a Woodland native - born and raised - she is a wife, and a Mom with a wonderful 6-year-old daughter.  Not that she gets the chance very often, but, when given the chance, she enjoys curling up with a good detective story and a cup of hot chocolate!

Elise Curteman -

Administration / Teacher / Choreographer

Elise Curteman began working with children when she was in 7th grade.  All the way through college, she continued to spend her summers working at places like Santa Cruz Parks and Rec., the YMCA, and Galileo Learning - a popular Bay Area summer program - where she worked with the four to six year old age group from 2009 to 2012.  Elise loves to dance!  She was introduced to the art through color guard when she entered high school.  She started taking dance classes at 16, and continued through college.  Elise graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Social Science for Teaching and a minor in Ballet.  She also enjoyed doing Jazz, Modern, and Tap, while at SJSU.  After graduating in 2012, Elise and her now husband moved back to his hometown of Woodland, where she began taking ballet classes with Yvette. Elise began teaching for Dynamic Dancing a year later, and couldn't be happier. She loves combining her two greatest passions: working with children and dance.  The 2018 Showcase is Elise's sixth Showcase with Yvette, though this year she is working behind the scenes because she is now a mom to an amazing 2 year old little boy who already loves music and dance, and a beautiful new baby girl.

Kathryn Joyce Daily -

Administration / Teacher / Choreographer

Kathy Daily's dance training began in early childhood, and has included ballet, jazz, tap (both theatrical and rhythm styles), international folk dancing, square dancing, ballroom, and modern dance. In addition, she's performed and choreographed for musical theater and was a member of the San Ramon Valley Dance Academy's award-winning adult performing group "Just 4 Kicks" for several years.  In 2008, Kathy developed a dance/aerobic program which focused on dance technique, "tricks" of stage performance, and upbeat recognizable music. Her 60-minute aerobic classes became extremely popular and for the next nine years she taught over a hundred students in this "dance class for non-dancers." Kathy relocated from Walnut Creek to Woodland in 2017 to enjoy retirement and share her enthusiasm for dance with Yolo County. Her "Get UP and Dance" program is currently offered twice weekly at WC&SC and she's looking forward to adding more classes before the end of this year.

Anja Dingman -
